All-New Ketamine Infusions at Lamb Health DPC
Ketamine infusions are an IV-method of delivering Ketamine, a drug that has been found to help with a variety of mental health disorders, including medication-resistant depression
The first appointment will be a consult with the physician, in order to determine what kind of treatment will work best
After the initial consult, the client will need a ride to and from the infusion appointments
During the infusion process, the doctor will insert a tiny IV needle into the arm
The doctor will constantly monitor the client's blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen levels to ensure the client's safety throughout the process
After the infusion is finished, the client will usually require around 30 minutes to recover from the effects of the Ketamine.
After recovery, the client will need a friend or family member to bring them home.
Ketamine can make the client feel disconnected from the world, dream-like and detached, and relaxed
It can also make the client feel happy, with a lowered sensitivity to pain
Some clients report feeling nauseous, in which case the doctor can administer anti-nausea medicine to ensure a pleasant experience
Many clients notice an improvement within the first visit
Depending on the client, it can take between 3 to 6 infusions before noticing a significant improvement
The Ketamine infusion process begins with twice a week appointments for three weeks
Afterwards, depending on need, clients can come in every few months or longer if they feel like they need a booster infusion.
